Miranda Friel is a Los Angeles-based Production Designer, deeply passionate about space design as world-building.

For the past two years, Miranda worked as the Associate Production Designer at the Emmy Award-winning studio JP Connelly, Inc - which afforded her the opportunity to work on two seasons of Top Chef, two seasons of The Voice, Netflix’s Paul v Tyson fight, numerous reality show reunions including the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion, and numerous development projects for clients seeking to sell their ideas to networks.

Her recent production design work on the UNREAL Engine short film FATHEAD, filmed and Amazon Studios Virtual Production and produced by the Entertainment Technology Center @ USC, won the Best Student Short Film at the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

Her background in theatre, and especially her previous career as a scenic artist, have informed her attention to architectural details and the materiality of surfaces. In her spare time, Miranda enjoys graphic designing and painting acrylic grotesques.
